CCFD6 partnered with the DNR to place a daily fire danger sign at the 4-corners intersection. Even with the fire danger currently at 1 please remember to follow all burning regulations. Recreation fire regulations include:
- Fire is a maximum size of 3’x3’x2’ and is in an approved pit lined with metal stone or masonry.
- Fire is at least 25’ from structures, overhead fuels, and combustible materials.
- Fire is burning clean, seasoned firewood or charcoal only: no brush or yard debris.
- Fire is supervised by someone 16 years of age or older at all times.
- There must be tools and water to extinguish the fire. (5gal bucket of water or a hoseline, and a shovel).
Permits are needed to burn yard debris and are available at Station 61.
- Follow instructions on permit to ensure you are allowed to burn.
-Keep permit on burning site.
-Pile needs to be no bigger than 10’x10’.
- Burn needs to be supervised, water and tools need to be on hand.
Burn Barrels are ALWAYS illegal!

A big thank you to all of our EMS responders! We have 32 responders on the books and 25 of those are EMS personnel! The majority of our emergency responses are EMS related and our crews have gone above and beyond to be ready for the call!!

We had a great time at CRHS today for their annual career fair. This amazing event offers students from all over the area a glimpse at different careers and schools. Pretty sure we have some future firefighters and paramedics in the group of students that visited today!! Thank you to CRHS for the invite!
