CCFD6 partnered with the DNR to place a daily fire danger sign at the 4-corners intersection. Even with the fire danger currently at 1 please remember to follow all burning regulations. Recreation fire regulations include:
- Fire is a maximum size of 3’x3’x2’ and is in an approved pit lined with metal stone or masonry.
- Fire is at least 25’ from structures, overhead fuels, and combustible materials.
- Fire is burning clean, seasoned firewood or charcoal only: no brush or yard debris.
- Fire is supervised by someone 16 years of age or older at all times.
- There must be tools and water to extinguish the fire. (5gal bucket of water or a hoseline, and a shovel).
Permits are needed to burn yard debris and are available at Station 61.
- Follow instructions on permit to ensure you are allowed to burn.
-Keep permit on burning site.
-Pile needs to be no bigger than 10’x10’.
- Burn needs to be supervised, water and tools need to be on hand.
